About Wilde Acre
“I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.”
Wilde Acre Landscapes, Inc. was founded on the belief that a personal, hands-on approach to landscaping is the way to anticipate the needs of our clients and fulfill their garden dreams. We have been satisfying clients in the Asheville, NC area since 2001.
We have two divisions within our company: landscape construction and grounds management of residential and commercial properties. We take pride in our services and the quality of work our employees produce on a daily basis. This excellence is evident as the greater portion of our new business comes from client referrals. With our new client base, we have been able to expand our business into larger markets and increase our list of services to better serve the western North Carolina community. We design and build functional outdoor living areas that compliment our clients’ lifestyles. Our goal is to enhance the outdoor environments of our clients and provide them with beauty year-round.
Kristy Garrett started this company from its roots. Growing up with acres of pastures and mountains as her playground, Kristy was provided with endless opportunities to play in the dirt. She found herself hiking through miles of wooded trails, wading through mountain streams, helping in the family vegetable garden – all of which have proven to be inspiration in running her business. Kristy has a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and was an educator for 5 years. With her love of the outdoors, the former high school teacher and varsity basketball coach made the decision to follow her passion – Wilde Acre Landscapes was established. In late 2001, maintaining only residential properties in her home town of Sylva, NC, Kristy expanded her working environment into the mountain towns of Cashiers and Asheville, NC. Maintaining the grounds of a 15-acre horse farm and local municipalities thus began her quest for building a full-service residential and commercial landscape maintenance and construction company. With her dedication to detail and desire for perfection, Kristy’s leadership and knowledge of horticultural practice has proven to be the driving force behind Wilde Acre’s continued success.
Meghan Conley began working with Wilde Acre Landscapes early on in a part-time role. Meghan has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Middle School Education and has interest in the environmental aspects of landscaping. While working as a middle school teacher for 10 years, Meghan was a strong leader among a group of remarkable teachers. In 2013, Meghan resigned from teaching to commit, full-time, to the expansion of Wilde Acre Landscapes. Her role has since emerged from being a helping hand to becoming the heart of business development for the company. Meghan is now in charge of all bookkeeping tasks, advertising, employment, as well as, supervising on-going projects and working crews. Her creative mind and organizational skills have been an asset to the company’s growth and success.
